Another First

A weekend of firsts...well why not right? After my first blog hop  yesterday I am moving on to my first entry for the Digi Darla's Challenge. And here she is...

This little sweetie is Crissy and UmbrellaI colored her with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. The papers are from my stash (I think the are DCWV from ages ago). I created the sentiment myself with a font called Zipity Do and used a cloud die from PTI. The little "love" hearts are a font called Sweet Hearts BV that I fussy cut (pure determination there my friends...haha!).

I stumbled across Digi Darla's stamps and it was love at first sight...haha! They were too darn sweet to pass up! And they have freebies! And we all know how I feel about freebies...woohoo! So I HAD to make a card with one of these little darlins. And lucky for me they have challenges where you can get another one of their stamps just for entering. Now how can you beat that?!? So here goes on the entry...Wish me luck!
Thanks for stopping by and until next time...take care.

Sending My Love

A post card stamp? SWEET! Make your own...any time you want...any way you want! SUPER SWEET! I was soo excited when I found the Post Card Stamp Pack at the
Stamping Dragon Designs storeIt comes with four different designs for you to play around with...decisions, decisions. But, oh what fun!

You take a good look at my postcard and may be wondering who are Janette and Beth and why is she sending love to them? Well it is because they are special to me. Janette is the owner of Stamping Dragon Designs (the queen dragon if you will)...and Beth is the Administrator and all around go to gal. I would not be doing this were it not for them. They gave me my "break' so to speak into the world of being a Design Team Member (which is super spectacular!. So I am sending them some lovin' for that and for all they do behind the scenes so people like you and me can have such awesome products to use on our cards and other projects. Woohoo!

Speaking of products the Post Card Stamp was not the only SDD product I used on this little lovely. I also used the
Hippy Love Stamp and the Blazing Summer Mini digital kit to liven it all up a bit...haha! They were a combo that I just had to try out. I used the digital paper piecing method on it and could not have been happier with the results. I am loving that! I also used one of the elements from the mini kit on the right side of the card. It was just meant to be there I think.
So there you have it my friends...great products for a couple of great ladies...with a big lovin THANK YOU!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget about the challenge going on over at Stampin with the Dragon...there is still plenty of time to join in! Until next time...take care.

A Little Reminder

Have you been thinking about it? Are you getting excited yet? Well I am here to remind you and get you excited! For coming this Friday February 10, 2012 is really BIG Blog Hop to introduce the new Event Team at The Crafter's Cafe.

To help you start getting EXCITED (if you aren't already...and if that is the case this will make probably make you even MORE EXCITED) I think we need a little sample of what is to come. Would that help? Would you like to see a little taste of what is going to be the bestest Blog Hop ever!

Well I have been given a stamp by one of our VERY generous sponsors

so that I could make this project to share with you before THE BIG DAY!

Isn't this stamp awesome?!? It is true...I am an owl lover from way back (before they were the "in thing") so I may be biased...well that and I love TSB stamps to begin with sooo...
The name of the stamp is Owl Family and it's a  newbie. I saw it and instantly pictured lots of color. I do believe this card fills the bill on that one! I used digital paper piecing...totally cool (showing my age a bit there...haha)! If you do digital and have never tried this technique you SERIOUSLY need to TRY IT! It is almost as sweet as the stamp itself...almost.

If you like this stamp you really should pop over and give
The Stamping Boutique a good look! They have a HUGE selection of digital stamps to chose from!

Keep a watch out for specials on Wednesdays over there...oh wait is today Wednesday...I think it is...haha! Maybe there will have a special today! If you want the inside track on their specials all you need to do is become a follower of The Stamping Boutique Challenge Blog and it will tell you everything you need to know...about the sales anyway...oh and the challenges...and the freebies too...haha.

And don't forget the Blog Hop is just the beginning! On Saturday February 11, 2012 we are having our Craft and Chat! This is going to be sooo much fun!If you have not joined
The Crafter's Cafe yet NOW is the time! Come join us!

There will be things happening all day long leading up to the LIVE chat where we will make little pizza boxes. It is a NOT TO BE MISSED deal here folks! Come one...come all!

Hope to see you there my friends!
Until next time...take care.

Challenge #3

Time for a new challenge at Stampin with the DragonThis Challenge is brought to you by

and they are offering the winner of this challenge a  $5 Gift Certificate to their store. Woohoo!

Please remember that we are offering a 2nd prize to one of you who use one of our images for this challenge.  You will have the chance to win an image from our store and you can be our next Guest Design Team Member.

The challenge this time around is to use this photo by Shutter Stock as an inspiration for your love themed card.

Let me introduce you to the man of the hour:

This is my man, Howie Hot Hot Hot from none other than Dude Time Doodles. What a man...he's trying to put out the flames of love...or maybe he isn't...haha! I had a lot of fun with this one. Dude Time has very different from the norm stamps...eclectic some would say... and they are much fun to work with just for that reason. I like it! I like it a lot! They are worth checking out folks. Yesiree...they certainly are. They have a lot of mannish and raw humor stamps that one cannot find elsewhere! I will be doing some shopping there myself. So the men in my life had better watch out because Dude Time Doodles is on my mind...haha!

So I used my own little mind yep I have one(they did and MRI and everything)...haha and a really cool font of flames and created the sentiment myself...(((patting me on the back))). I'm pleased with it after a lot of hit and miss in creating this baby. I also used digital paper ( which I cannot seem to find again to give credit...sorry if it belongs to you!), Stampin' Up paper and some Georgia Pacific thrown in for good measure. And to color the man (to give him that extra somethin' somethin'...hehe) I used prismacolor pencils and OMS. He is such a stud! HAHA!
There you have it my friends. You should go on over to Dude Time Doodles and give em a good once over for they got it going on'. I know I am heading there right now...yeah! Maybe I'll see ya there...haha.

And make sure to join in the fun with this new challenge at Stampin with the Dragon!
Thanks for stopping by and until next time...take care.

Something coming up soon that you DO NOT want to miss at TCC...we are having a Blog Hop! Woohoo! Coming Friday February 10th. What is a blog hop you say? Well it's where you will have a list of blogs to hop from one to the next all the while looking at some wonderful, beautiful, fantabulously fantastic projects made by Event Team Members from TCC! It is going to be AWESOME!

We are going to be making a pizza box in real time! No...not the big ones that delivery comes in...but cute little ones that are just the right size to say put chocolates in for Valentine's Day...maybe...haha! Curious yet? Ready to join in and checkit out yet? There is more fun in store but you will need to go stop by TCC and find out all the details for yourself. It is not to be missed...really!

My Sample

My first  project for The Crafter's Cafe is a sample to promote The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog. We were given some beautiful stamps by one of my favorites...A Day For Daisies to use. Tammy does such wonderful things. It is so worth taking a look!

 And here is my card...

Isn't she just too sweet? The stamp that is (not my card...although I think it is passable...haha!) The stamps name is Sleeping Flower...and when we were told that challenge was to use the colors red, pink and purple together I knew she was the one for me. I pictured the flower in my minds eye to look like this! I love it when a plan comes together and things work out like you thought 'em!
Anyway...I used prismacolor pencils and OMS to color her in and get that blend I thunk. I used colors matched up to the papers and ribbon that are all from Papertrey Ink (another of my favorite companies!) The pearls are from Stampin' Up and I used a glitter gel pen to add a touch of sparkle to the tip of her wand and on her wings. I hope you like it and are inspired to create  a project of your own. Now that you know about the new challenge head on over and give it a try! Let me know how you do.
Thanks for stopping by! I will be posting several more things today so stay tuned and don't miss out! Woohoo!
