Puppy Love

What a little sweetie! I saw this little pup and had to use him on a card. "Fido" here (not his real name but I am going to call him that for now...haha) is a stamp called Spotty Pups Valentine Heart and can be found at none other than our very own...Stamping Dragon Designs! YEAH!! Yes, folks SDD has more than just dragons...regardless of what the name may be. They have lots and lots of stamps that are lots of things other than dragons...go check it out! We love our friends the dragons but there are things in life...like "Fido"... that are nice also. And today "Fido" (Spotty Pup)is making his debut on my blog so you all can see just what I mean. I will eventually be using more of SDD's stamps that are not dragons but Penny, Jiggy and Rupert are so cute that it might be a while. I guess if you are looking for something other than my dragon friends (and you are in a rush) you may have to go to Stamping Dragon Designs and look for yourself...haha. It's ok...you can look...don't be shy... just head right on over there and take give the place a once-over (or twice-over...haha). You never know what you might find and fall in love with. It is close to Valentine's Day and we all need someone (or something) to love, right. And would cute, sweet, adorable stamps be a good thing? I most certainly think so!
Just a note: for those of you new to the blogging game if you place your cursor on the highlighted words above and click they will take you to what the words say. ie: Stamping Dragon Designs above will take you to the storefront. Kinda cool, huh? So you can go check it out very effortlessly! You don't to try and figure it out on your own. It is already linked up for you! Sweet!
So now on to the rest of the card...whew! The papers are digital and are from the store. They are from the Pretty in Pink Cardmaking Pack. I am loving these cardmaking packs! They are so versatile and come with a great selection of papers and elements too. I actually used three of the papers for my card. I loved not having to waste time trying to find three papers that go together! Woohoo!
Ok...that's it for this time. WOW...guess I was feeling wordy today...haha. Thanks for hangin' with me (in my wordiness) and for stopping by. Until next time take care.

Rockin' Rupert

There's just something about a guy with a guitar...how true that is! And for Rupert there is no excepetion to that...well other than he is a dragon there isn't...hehe. But he has that certain something too...jammin' away in this Rupert Plays Rock stamp from Stamping Dragon Designs. I saw this stamp and couldn't resist! And I knew I had the perfect sentiment to go with it from Ginger's House! It was a match made in stamper's heaven...ahhh! I love it when a plan come together...haha! The paper I used for this card was from the Cafe Pigalle Cardmaking Pack also available at SDD. I only used one of the papers for my background but blocked it out and turned the stripes in different directions to give it some interest. I love using this method! And the scalloped square behind Rupert is another paper from same said collection. Very pretty colors! You should really check it out! There are several other papers I didn't use and also elements in the pack. This collection could be used for scrapbooking just as easily if one would be so inclined.
I used my Prismacolor pencils with OMS method to color Rupert and his awesome guitar in. Added some linen thread from Stampin' Up and some star brads from Joann Fabric's and he was ready to roll (Rock and Roll that is)hehe.
This card is my DT card for Challenge #2. The info for this challenge is included below. As always, thanks for stopping by and until next time...take care.

Jiggy Likes To Read

Jiggy has a new book just for you! He loves to read and wanted to share his love and his thoughts on the subject with you (he is just kind of sweet that way). The stamp I used is called Jiggy's Book...he knows a good pastime when he sees it!  haha!
This was a fun card to make with the inside looking like an open book. This said open book is and element in the Southern Comfort Page Kit. The outside of my card (book) is a paper from this same kit. I loved the warm feeling the colors in this set gave me and when I saw the book and knowing how Jiggy felt about reading I had to do this card!
An additional item I used from Stamping Dragon Designs  is the Definitions Pack-Happy Themed (fun little kit with laugh, smile and fun as the words used). I used the page of fun definitions to make the "book" more realistic (blank pages are ok but more it's more fun with words...hehe). I know horrible right...oh well.
The sentiment is from Ginger's House...she has a ton of sentiments...the girl does one a day if you can imagine!
The sentiment of the front I created myself in PS...I couldn't find what I wanted anywhere. I then tore it, distressed it and glued it...super easy. I colored Jiggy with copics, trimmed and glued...not as easy...hehe. I like my "book"...I hope you so too.
A final note: If you like the book idea but are maybe not big on the colors well there is another kit in the store that has a book in it called The Age Of Innocence. It might suit you better.
Anyway I had fun this week making Jiggy happy reading. Thanks for stopping by and until next time take care.

My First Card As A DT!!

Here is my first card as a DT member for Stamping Dragon Designs. For those of you who are unsure of what that means let me take a moment to explain at least in part. DT stand for Design Team. That means I will use products from SDD (and other companies that sponsor the challenges) to make cards for the SDD Challenge Blog. The cards that I make are to help inspire...in theory at least...hehe...others to join in the challenge and win prizes. 2012 Challenge 1 is Frames. If you choose to accept this challenge you have 14 days to do so make the prettiest cards ever and win yourself some really awesome images! YEAH!
So last time you got to meet my new friend, Jiggy (Framed)...well today I am very excited to introduce two more new dragon friends...Rupert (Framed) and Penny (Framed). Aren't they just the sweetest? It was fun getting to "know" them this week. I am looking forward to becoming very acquainted with them and all their other friends at SDD. Oh, and the other DTs too of course...hehe! If you hurry over to the Stamping Dragon Designs store now they are having a sale...now through January 10 the whole store is 40% off! WOOHOO! I love a sale! Just ask my poor husband...haha!
Now on to the particulars...this was one of those stops and starts cards. I had the idea of what I wanted to do for this challenge as soon as I saw the images. It was going to be so easy...yeah right! HAHA! When I started putting my idea in motion...well, let's just say it did not go as planned. But, I am very happy with how this turned out...it's better then what I pictured in my wee little head. But getting it there was a challenge...hehe.
Anyway...Due to the length of this post already I am not going to list the other products I used this time. If you want the list leave me a message and I will send it to you. Fair enough? Until next time...take care.
